Gunas
The three qualities of nature
đUnderstanding Gunas
According to Sanatan Dharma, all of material nature is composed of three fundamental qualities or gunas: Sattva (purity, light, knowledge), Rajas (passion, activity, restlessness), and Tamas (darkness, inertia, ignorance). Every person, action, food, and situation has a predominant guna character, and understanding this helps us navigate life more skillfully.
